This picture postcard showcases two attractive young women from 1905 - 1910 in very large hats. They are both dressed very sharply in fitted dresses with inset bodices and high necklines. The girl on the left is wearing eyeglasses and a locket that is pinned, not worn on a chain. Alas, once again they are sadly unidentified.
Now those are some big hats. Is there anything to read into the different lengths of the girls’ dresses?
ReplyDeleteHave you noticed the difference in the height of their hems? Was it still related to the wearer's age at this time?
ReplyDeleteI’m assuming the hem lengths were just normal variations of the styles of the times, but I will do some research.
DeleteNot sure about the dress lengths; I’ll have to look into it.
