Unidentified Civil War Era Woman - Revenue Stamp

This CDV photograph of an attractive woman from the Civil War era was taken by photographer S. C. Hansen between 1864 and 1866.  We know this by this revenue stamp on the back.  What is of particular interest to me is that I found a similar photograph on Pinterest that I am certain is the same woman.  What do you think?

  1. very similar, but when you flip one of them, and make the sizes and contrast to equal, they have a different jaw line....

  2. Yes, I could see the differences in the jaw line, thought maybe she was just older in the other pic and had gained weight. I know that has happened to me!

  3. I had the same thought to flip one profile to compare. They are close but there is difference. Since both ladies are standing, you could measure their height by dividing floor to head distance by the number of hand lengths. Similarly comparing proportions of eyes to shoulder etc. would highlight any big differences too.
